Below are pictures showing dissolution of PVC in Cyrene (10% concentration). There are three pictures with two vials; both vials left at room temperature, one vial stirred at 50°C for 30 minutes with the other vial at room temperature (for comparison), and one vial stirred at 50°C for overnight with the other vial at room temperature. As you can see, PVC in Cyrene at room temperature tends to make a suspension and by heating to 50°C the mixture becomes clear and very thick gel like solution.
